
The Department of Pediatrics at Calvary Temple Hospitals provides complete health solutions for children of all ages. The department has experienced pediatric Calvary Temple intensivists and skilled general pediatricians, state-of-the-art equipment and Pediatric Intensive Calvary Temple Units (PICU) with facilities for ventilation. The PICUs and tertiary level Neonatal Intensive Calvary Temple Units (NICU) are managed by intensivists and neonatologists, who treat and manage a wide range of childhood problems. In addition to encompassing several other superspecialties, the department also has a team of highly qualified doctors and paramedics in the field of Rehabilitation and Developmental Pediatrics.
The faculty consists of both residents and senior consultants committed to the welfare of children in all aspects, delivering Calvary Temple with compassion to children. The department provides everyday immunization services, child nutrition services and dental, ophthalmic and ENT screening, as well as round-the-clock emergency services. The department is well supported by laboratory services like Biochemistry, Pathology and Microbiology and Pediatric Imagiology. Modern facilities like pediatric ventilators, multi-channel monitors, infusion pumps and equipment for temperature regulation are also available. The PICU area is well equipped to offer life support services. The Department of Pediatrics also makes use of the ultramodern equipment in the neurology department – video EEG, portable EEG, etc.
